CHRISTMAS PARTY (3 Guys and a Stove)

The Christmas Party, held on November 24, 2010, was an overwhelming success. Three Guys and a Stove was the venue; the second floor was filled to overflowing with space at a premium. More than 50 Woodlanders attended.

Our Committee is seeking a larger facility for 2011.

SLEIGH RIDE AND TUBING

Several residents participated in sleigh rides and tubing over the holiday season.

BOWLING AND DINNER

An enthusiastic group of 'non bowlers' met on February 11, 2011, at the Huntsville Bowl. Several teams bounced their balls down the lanes looking for the big STRIKE!

We met afterwards at The Family Restaurant where we enjoyed the chef's amazing pizza. Also, prizes were presented to several of our star bowlers.

A good time was had by all!

CANADA DAY

This was a first time event held on July 1st, 2011. Tents were set-up in the Sanctuary parking lot by a group of 'engineers' the day before the event. Hot dogs and hamburgers were served along with an amazing array of condiments. Ice-cream bars were donated and other sweet treats were available.

Tours of the Sanctuary were provided after the barbeque.

The occasion was more than a BBQ; it was a chance for community members to meet each other.

It is estimated that about 70 people attended. This overwhelming response was a welcomed surprise!

CHRISTMAS PARTY - November 25, 2011

Our annual Christmas Party will be held at the Delta Grandview Resort in the Royal Muskoka Ballroom. Invitations have been e-mailed to all Woodland Heights lot owners.

The Delta venue offers much more space than last year at 3 Guys and a Stove. The room has a large wood-burning fireplace and will be decorated in Christmas trappings.

SPECIAL EVENT - GOLF AND BARBEQUE

An additional community event was organized by David Bevan and Don McLean.

The golf and barbeque was held at Deerhurst Resort on September 8th, 2011. Five groups of golfers met at the Lakeside Course to participate in a Modified Scramble. Dinner was held at Highlands Lounge.
